EARLY LIFE AND FAMILY
She was born on August 23, 1982, at Gothatar, Kathmandu. Her childhood was spent with her parents in Gothatar, Kathmandu. She grew up helping her parents on their farm. She had a keen interest in journalism since childhood as she used to listen radio and read newspaper in library with great enthusiasm. Her family was very much supportive in her career.

She worked as a first female host of BBC’s Sajha Sawal aired on Kantipur Television. She began presenting the show in July 2014 and quit the show from January 2018 and co-founded Herne Katha. Talking about reason for quit she claimed that she had an urge to tell the stories of common Nepali. And this thing has really proved looking at the views of Herne Katha. This is one of the most loved web series in Nepal. As of now, 49 episodes had been aired.
At the 2019 Independent Short Awards, she along with team won Best Documentary Short for ‘The Man Who Died’ and the Best Non-fiction at the 2018 Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival for the same film.
